How to Sign Up
Getting your group involved is easy! Fill out a Group Form found on our volunteer page and we’ll help schedule your volunteer experience. There’s no required donation to participate, but contributions are always welcome to support our mission.
When Can We Volunteer?
Our volunteer events are Monday-Friday mornings and select evenings. Reach out to secure your spot and get ready for an unforgettable day of service!
Volunteer as an Individual
Not part of a group? No problem! Individuals are always welcome at AGAR. Volunteers of all ages are welcome and children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Common Questions
- How do I sign up? Simply check our individual volunteer calendar and register for an upcoming event.
- Can I bring my child? Absolutely! Volunteering is a wonderful experience for families. Children can also earn service hours for school, church, or other organizations.
- What are the hours? Volunteer shifts vary, but most opportunities are scheduled for weekday mornings and limited afternoons.
- Can I come on the weekend? Our team needs some time to unwind, so we are closed on the weekends. Our volunteer events are on weekdays only.
- Can I take produce home? While we deeply appreciate your hard work in the fields, our mission is to feed those in need. All harvested produce is distributed through food banks, local food pantries, and nonprofit organizations serving underserved communities.
Looking for More Ways to Get Involved?
Harvesting isn’t the only way to contribute! We also have opportunities for:
- Repack produce
- Deliver gleaned produce from a supermarket to a food pantry
- Deliver produce from our Pittstown Farm to a local food assistance program
- Attend a tabling event and spread the word about America’s Grow-a-Row
Fill out an individual interest form to tell us how you would like to get involved!
