Volunteer at Grow-a-Row

We grow over 20 nutrient-rich varieties, including cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, corn, peppers, turnips, potatoes, and cabbage. Each event ends with a tally of your impact—number of pounds harvested, and number of people fed which is always inspiring. Volunteer solo or with a group of 5-300.

Groups

If you have a group of 5-300 people, please fill out our group volunteer form and someone from our team will get back to you right away! All are welcome, and no experience is necessary. Corporate teams, school groups, clubs, and community groups are all welcome!

Individuals

We welcome volunteers of all ages to volunteer with us! All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please use the signup calendar to let us know you’re coming so that we can tell you the farm location, which is determined just a few days before each event.

Tell Us Your Interests

If you would like to see more volunteer options and be added to our mailing list, please fill out this individual inquiry form and let us know how you’d like to help. We need people to pick up and deliver produce, harvest produce on a regular basis, and attend tabling events, just to mention a few things. Questions? Contact Connie Miller to learn more.

Romaine In-The-Know with our Latest Updates

WE’RE CHANGING THE FACE OF HUNGER

Grow-A-Row is Unique.

America’s Grow-A-Row is taking a revolutionary approach to solving hunger by treating the need along with the entire wellbeing of people suffering from hunger. We refuse to let poverty be a barrier to accessing healthy food, and have found unique, community-centered methods for people facing food insecurity to go from surviving to thriving.

Sustainable
Farming

We use sustainable farming methods to make the most of our farmland, utilizing volunteers to help create a self-sustaining ecosystem for long term success.

Fresh Produce Distribution

It’s’ not enough to grow the food: half the battle is getting it there. We use an advanced distribution setup in order to distribute the freshest produce to 22 states.

Reducing
Food Waste

30%-40% of the nation’s food supply goes to waste. Discover how we glean—the act of collecting produce that would otherwise be wasted—both on and off the farm.

Educating & Inspiring

From childhood through adulthood, we are educating Americans from all walks of life about the importance of nutrition, the prevalence of hunger, and what they can do to make a difference.
