Pittstown, NJ August 26, 2024 – America’s Grow-a-Row (AGAR) and Village Super Market are proud to announce the success of their annual Pennies 4 Produce campaign, which has raised over $52,000 in support of America’s Grow-a-Row, a nonprofit organization dedicated providing fresh produce to those in need.
During the Pennies 4 Produce campaign, which ran from June 2 to June 30, Village Super Market invited customers to donate their spare change at checkout to help fund America’s Grow-a-Row’s mission of growing and donating fresh produce. Village Super Market employees joined together to wrap-up the campaign with a charitable softball game, coming together to increase their impact and provide additional produce to people in need.
“We are incredibly grateful to Village Super Market and their customers for their outstanding support,” said Chip Paillex, Founder and President of America’s Grow-a-Row. “This donation will allow us to expand our efforts in addressing food insecurity and promoting healthier lifestyles within our community.”
The funds raised will enable America’s Grow-a-Row to provide fresh produce to approximately 2,321 people daily across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and beyond, supporting their mission to positively impact food access and nutrition education.
